The Telescopes appear in Florentine's Observatory, where they are placed in a great number in front of the star chamber that spans across the entire length of the window side. These optical instruments are apparently engraved with the following words, indicating what could be their date of fabrication and their manufacturer: 1779. Fleur and Maison.
From the News Cutting on the notice board in Adam's cell, we could speculate that these Telescopes originally belonged to the astronomer Sir Henry Godwin.
