The Shotgun Cartridge is the designated ammunition for the eponymous Winchester M1897 slide acion twelve gauge Shotgun which we find inside the Mausoleum.
The Winchester M1897 Shotgun, designed by John M. Browning, was the first truly successful pump-action shotgun produced. It was used by U.S. Armed Forces during both World Wars and in the Korean War.
Notably, John Browning is also the designer of the Colt-45 which Adam finds inside the Cabinet Room with the Typewriter, or alternatively after entering the Mausoleum.
