EDGE #58 July 1996[]

Back in 1996, the British EDGE magazine contained an extended feature on Gremlin Interactive, the company behind Realms of the Haunting. The lenghthy article also talks about their other productions like Loaded, Hardwar, Fragile Allegiance and the Actua series of sports games. I was haphazardly but thankfully made aware of this issue while roaming the informative Gremlin Archive.

Though critical of the graphical appearance, the reviewing author still finds some words of appreciation for the sound design.

PC Power #33 (English preview feature)[]

NB: Pages originally scanned by richardhalo, and digitally distributed by disthron.

This lengthy feature by Paul Mallinson shows a work-in-progress look at Realms of the Haunting prior to its release in the fall of 1996, including an interview with producer Paul Green and interesting insights into the development process, such as the artwork design and the filming at Bright Light Studios, even showing demo locations that were cut from the finished product.

Génération 4 #95 01/1997 (French review)[]

NB: Scan uploaded here. This scan is particularly interesting because an image on the second page shows what appears to be an in-game map overlay. This seems to be the only evidence indicating such a feature was considered. Unfortunately, it seems to have been scrapped in the release.
